Just1-Meal Labeldesign

Just1 approached Sprachbild Media for support in designing and showcasing their product, the Ready-to-Drink-Meal. The logo for Just1 was already established and needed to seamlessly fit into the overall concept.

The Ready-to-Drink-Meal is a complete, drinkable meal in liquid form, containing all the essential nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals. It serves as a quick, convenient alternative to traditional meals, ideal for people with an active lifestyle who seek a time-saving, healthy nutrition solution.

So we began brainstorming. The design of the bottles had to immediately convey the solution to the consumer’s problem — getting full. We decided on a satisfying color palette. Tone-on-tone transitions were used to reflect the rich flavor. The product name itself was paired with small icons that would immediately associate the “drink” with the field of nutrition. Since the product was to be offered not only in Europe but also on the international market, the labels needed to be universally understandable and comply with the requirements of the deposit system in Germany. We first focused on the placement and scaling of the key elements. The product simulation on the final bottle helped to continuously refine the design. In consultation with Just1, we quickly arrived at a very strong final result.

And so, we first created the labels for the different varieties. The varieties should be distinguishable, yet share enough common elements to refer to the same brand.

To generate attention in a campaign, we should also suggest how the design can be used across social media channels. Here too, we had an idea that matched the design. We decided to choose a square format, which conveys stability. So, we brainstormed for some time and developed various tile ideas for the channels, each with a different thematic focus.

We were already very satisfied with the static tiles, so we decided to spice them up for displays at the POS and across the various channels.

Conclusion

The labels were well received by the adopting companies and will soon be in production. Sprachbild Media will continue to handle the creation of content for social media and other channels, as well as potentially more…
